DIAMONDS CLARITY

Diamond clarity is a term used to describe the absence or presence of inclusions inside or on the surface of a diamond. Diamond clarity is one of the most important factors for selecting and pricing a diamond, in addition to diamond carat ,diamond cut and diamond colour.
Because diamond are formed deep within the earth, under extreme heat and pressure; virtually all diamonds contain “birthmarks”; small imperfections inside the diamond (called inclusions), or on its surface (called blemishes). Clarity refers to the degree to which these imperfections are present.
Diamonds with higher clarity grades are more valued, with the exceedingly rare Flawless graded diamond fetching the highest price

FL: Completely flawless Diamond

Flawless-Diamond

IF: Internally flawless Diamond

Internally Flawless: No internal
imperfections. Very rare.IF” grade is stating that the “internal” portion of the diamond is perfect. If
only the internal portion of the diamond is perfect, then the external portion (surface of the diamond)
must not be perfect. The external portion, or surface of the diamond, are the facets. This means that
the facets of the diamond have some type of imperfection(s) that prohibit it from being graded as
completely “flawless”

VVS1 : Very, Very Slightly Included Diamond

Very difficult to see imperfections under 10x magnification. An excellent quality diamond. A VVS1 diamond is a higher clarity grade compared to the VVS2 diamond.

SI1 : Slightly Included Diamond

Slightly Included: Imperfections are visible under 10x magnification, and may be visible with the
unaided eye. A good diamond value
flaws in SI1 diamonds can usually be seen only under magnification and are practically invisible to the
naked eye,

SI2 : Slightly Included Diamond

Slightly Included: Imperfections are visible under 10x magnification, and may be visible with the
unaided eye. A good diamond value. some inclusions in SI2 can be seen without using a loupe or
microscope.
